Explanation of the conversion:
History: Wolfang was one of the protoforms from the Maximal ship called the Axalon commanded by Optimus Primal, which chased the Predacon
criminal Megatron II through transwarp space after the theft of the Golden Disc. The
Maximals and Predacons crashed on prehistoric Earth, where high energon levels threatened to destroy the crew unless they
adopted organic alternate modes (Beast Wars Part 1).
Falling to Earth, Wolfang came online and was formatted in the form of a wolf. He eventually joined up with
Optimus Minor and Bonecrusher II.
When Rattrap was under attack by Dinobot II, he was saved by Bonecrusher II, Optimus Minor and
Wolfang. Although Rattrap was happy to discover new Maximals, the three refused to go with him back to Maximal base (Transformers:
Summer Special 2004).
A pair of glowing eyes pierce the night like twin lasers scanning for prey. Steel-plated fangs glisten as the full moon
rises. A deep growl rumbles in the night air. It is Wolfang, the warrior beast, searching for Predacon enemies! Swift and
agile, prefers to hunt cloaked as an animal, but quickly converts to robot mode for battle.
Trivia: The toy of Wolfang is similar to that of K-9 and Max-B. The toy of Wolfang was sold seperately or
in a package with Buzzsaw II. The character of Wolfang was originally supposed to appear in the Beast Wars television
series, but instead they used Tigatron in his place.
Powers: Wolfang is highly energy efficient and has incredible speed and courage. He carries a blaster
in robot mode. He converts into a wolf which can charge at speeds of over 75 mph for short bursts.
Has an enhanced sense of smell and hearing in beast mode, as well as excellent night vision.
He recovers from damage quicker in beast mode and is better protected
from high energon levels as well.
Weaknesses: Wolfang is very impulsive. He cannot fly. In beast mode he lacks ranged weapons.
High energon fields can adversely effect Wolfang if he stays in robot form for too long. His animal
form is protected from high energon levels.
