Explanation of the conversion: I reasoned that using his spinneretes to completely tie up his opponents (the 8D8 Entangle) is the only thing that really drains them signifigantly, the other uses, like simple swinging or blinding opponents works as long as he still has some charges left. A gamemaster might consider penalizing him a charge of his Entangle for excessive use of the Multipower. The clawed limitation on his Clinging means he can only cling to material he could penetrate with his claws, and leaves small holes when he does.
History: Miguel was born a child prodagee in all areas excelling mainly in the sciences physical, and hypothetical. Before being sent off to an Alchemex boarding school he suffered from an abusive father who constantly beat him, his brother, and his mother. Growing up in this environment he became highly cynical and protective of his younger brother Gabrial. On his first day at the Alchemex boarding school he met two of the most important people in his life, Dana his future lover, and friend, but most importantly Kron Stone his half brother and later Venom 2099. After graduating from the boarding school/academy. He started working at Alchemex and became a department head.
While working there he became involved in a project to restructure people's genes to create corporate raiders which can climb walls and sneak into other companies. Miguel decided to base his work on the legendary superhero Spider-Man, and worked with spider DNA. He also used samples of his own DNA as a reference for normal humans. Miguel created a device which was capable of rearranging the genetic code of living beings, but was only ready to test it on animals. Tyler Stone insisted on rushing into human testing with a volunteer convict. Miguel reluctantly agreed to attempt to grant the convict minor superhuman strength. The process went horribly wrong, turning the man into a short lived freak, but with superhuman strength. Shocked at what he had done Miguel threatened to quit. In an attempt to keep Miguel working for the company Tyler Stone slipped a narcotic called Rapture into Miguel's drink. The drug was designed to alter the genetics of the victim so that they would be
dependent on the drug for the rest of their life. In an attempt to get the drug out of his system he used the device he was working on to rewrite his genetics to it's original form. Unbeknownst to him a rival tampered with the machine and mixed his program with the corporate raider program's spider template, and then pushed the machine past it's power limits, hoping to kill Miguel. The machine exploded and Miguel was left with spider-like qualities (Spider-Man 2099 #1).
When Miguel learned he had mutated he jumped out a window to try to kill himself, he came to his senses, and grabbed hold of the wall. Miguel wanted to avoid being found in the lab by the authorities, and when he spotted a Thorite flying by on a Light Byte powered hang glider, he jumped on. The Thorite was amazed and asked him who he was. Miguel said ''Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Spider-Man take your pick.'' The Thorite saw the revelation as a sign from Thor. The two men were able to land, but the glider was ruined. The man gave Miguel his hang glider material to cover himself up until he got home, since Spider-Man should always cover his face. Miguel made it home, but was soon followed by the cyborg tracker Venture, who was hired by his bosses to find the man who destroyed the lab. Miguel spotted Venture coming and put on a masquerade costume he had from a Day of The Dead festival in Mexico he went to last year since. The costume concealed his identity and was made out of
unstable molecules, so it wouldn't be ruined by his claws. He attached the Light Byte material from the hang glider on the back so it could slow his fall and leapt from the window. He attacked Venture throwing the cyborg off the trail that would let him know that the the man he tracked was Miguel O'Hara. The two fought, and eventually Miguel defeated Venture, thus Spider-Man 2099 was born (Spider-Man 2099 #2-3).
He battled the Specialist (Spider-Man 2099 #4-5) and encountered the Freakers and Vulture 2099 (Spider-Man 2099 #6-8).
Powers: Miguel has superhuman strength enabling him to lift 10 tons. His speed, stamina, durability and reflexes are all enhanced as well. His senses are very acute and he can see in almost total darkness. His fingers and toes have retractable clawed tips which are almost imperceptible when retracted. He can use these claws to climb any surface he can dig his claws into. His teeth are slightly fanged and he can inject a poison with his bite. The must unusual adaption Miguel has are the spinneretes on his forearms which can project webbing. Miguel is a skilled scientist with a speciality in genetics.
As Spider-Man, Miguel wears an unstable molecule costume which has special Lyte Byte fragments attached to the arms and back, allowing him to glide while light hits the material.
