Explanation of the conversion: I decided to make Caliburst a Follower of Slugslinger. He has an attack which is useable by one other, which is how Slugslinger uses him as a gun. I added lasers to his weaponry.

Slugslinger History (Dreamwave comics): Slugslinger was recruited as a Decepticon under the leadership of Megatron in his war against the Autobots on the planet Cybertron.

After Megatron and Autobot leader Optimus Prime were lost in an accident with a space bridge, the Decepticon forces splintered. Slugslinger joined the Predacons under the command of Starscream.

Eventually Slugslinger became a Targetmaster and was partnered with Caliburst.

Slugslinger is a sneering braggart who considers himself the best gunslinger in the Decepticon army, and he's got a burst ] of gunfire for anyone who disagrees. He'll start a fight with friend or foe to prove how tough he is; if he happens to lose the brawl, he's liable to open fire on his opponent right then and there, although he prefers to wait until he can shoot them in the back by surprise. His teammates find him extremely annoying because of his bad attitude and tendency to point his gun at them for fun. In private, they note how his claims of superiority don't stack up to the accomplishments of real gunslingers like Treadshot.

Slugslinger History (Marvel comics): Slugslinger was among the Decepticons commanded by Scorponok who followed Fortress Maximus and his Autobots to the planet Nebulos (Transformers: Headmasters #2).

When the Decepticons learned that the Autobots had created Targetmasters be converting Nebulans into the weapons of several Autobot warriors, the Decepticons did the same, and Slugslinger was partnered with Caliburst (Transformers: Headmasters #4).

When Scorponok's group followed Fortress Maximus to Earth Slugslinger and other Decepticons under Scorponok's command were tricked into fighting the Decepticons under Ratbat's command by Starscream, so he could steal Scorponok's space ship and intercept the Underbase (Transformers #49).

Despite all his claims to the contrary, this brawling, swaggering braggart would rather shoot someone in the back than face him in a duel. His courage runs out when his ammunition does. Those who know the true Slugslinger understand that beneath his battle-worn armor-plated exterior lies a cowardly tangle of twitching circuits. To deflect these opinions, he goes out of his way to show off his bravado - as long as he isn't in any danger. He also recalls, with tedious regularity, exploits from his past that illustrate his unsurpassed courage and awesome accomplishments, but these remembrances derive more from his imagination than fact. If the Decepticons didn't find Slugslinger's pomposity so amusing, they probably would have scrapped him a long time ago.

Slugslinger is a coward, particularly without his weapon or if he runs out of ammunition. After flying to his maximum altitude, Slugslinger often re-enters the lower atmosphere too quickly, and begins burning up as a result.

Trivia: On the Transformers television show, the voice of Slugslinger is played by actor Peter Cullen.

Slugslinger Powers: Subject possesses above average strength and intelligence. He is an adequate sharpshooter and gunslinger. Slugslinger is actually a skilled fighter, just not as good as he claims to be. He transforms into a bi-jet, which has a double cockpit. Either one is capable of controlling the craft. In this mode, he is fitted with two turbo-jets and two solid-fuel afterburners. When the afterburners kick in, he can achieve a maximum speed of 2,400 mph which allows him to achieve sub-orbital altitudes. His range is 3,800 miles. In jet mode, he is armed with a plasma cannon on each cockpit.

Caliburst transforms into an automatic machine gun, which shoots 1,200 rounds of armor-piercing shells per minute. In either of his modes, Slugslinger can wield weapon-mode Caliburst.
