Explanation of the conversion:
History: Quickstrike was one of the protoforms from the Maximal ship called the Axalon commanded by
Optimus Primal, which chased the Predacon
criminal Megatron II through transwarp space after the theft of the golden disk. The
Maximals and Predacons crashed on prehistoric Earth, where high energon levels threatened to destroy the crew unless they
adopted organic alternate modes (Beast Wars Part 1).
The Axalon's cargo of Maximal protoforms in stasis pods had been launched into orbit
before the crash, but eventually Quickstrike's pod fell to Earth, along with the pod of Silverbolt III. Damaged in planetfall,
Quickstrike and Silverbolt III's pods mixed up the genetic scans of local life forms when formatting them, causing them to
emerged in bizarre hybrid forms. Quickstrike's beast mode is a combination of scorpion and cobra. Discovered by
Megatron II, the new Maximals were convinced they were Predacons. This identity was easily assumed by Quickstrike, who had
inherited the violent traits from his genetic donors. In an attack on the Maximal base Silverbolt III quickly learned he
had more in common with the Maximals and switched sides, but Quickstike eagerly remained with the Predacons (Coming
of the Fuzors Part 1 & 2).
''You and me...we's gonna tangle...right here, right now!!'' - Quickstrike
When it appeared that Megatron II was going to triumph, Dinobot briefly changed sides. He proved himself in combat
with the Predacons by defeating Quickstrike. He gave Megatron II the Golden Disk, but was unable to kill Rattrap
when he was presented with the opportunity. He rededicated himself to helping the Maximals win (Maximal, No More).
Using a cyber-dart created by Tarantulas, the Predacons were able to override control of the body of Optimus Primal.
They controlled it using the a suit of armor piloted by Quickstrike. Using Optimus to infultrate the ark, Megatron II
was able to steal the spark of the original Megatron. Although Tarantulas and Quickstrike attempted to use the opportunity
to kill Megatron II, he survived and became even more powerful than before (Master Blaster).
Quickstrike was placed on trial by the Predacons for betraying Megatron II, but the arival of Tigerhawk and the destruction
of the Dark Side delayed his punishment (Other Victories).
After the destruction of the Predacon ship Dark Side Inferno II, Quickstrike and Waspinator were sent to establish a new
base for the Predacons. They discovered caves settled by pre-humans, but Waspinator decided he was sick of being a
Predacon and rebeled (Nemesis Part 1).
After shooting Waspinator, Inferno II and Quickstrike fought the pre-humans.
Inferno II and Quickstrike were killed by Megatron II using the guns of the Decepticon flag ship Nemesis when Megatron II
used the ship in an attempt to destroy the pre-human settlement (Nemesis Part 2).
Trivia: On the Beast Wars: Transformers television show, the
voice of Quickstrike is played by actor Collin Murdock. Quickstrike should
not be confused with Quickstrike II, a Maximal who turns into a wolf, or Quickstrike III an Autobot who turns into a
helicopter.
Powers: Quickstrike is energy efficient, fearless and highly skilled. He has a blaster inside his right cobra-head
hand. He is able to assume the alternate form of a hybrid cobra/scorpion with powerful claws and a biting tail. He recovers from
damage quicker in beast mode and is better protected from high energon levels as well.
Weaknesses: High energon fields can adversely effect Quickstrike if he stays in robot form for too long. His animal
form is protected from high energon levels. Quickstrike is so easily angered, few of his fellow Predacons would
help him if he got in trouble over his heads. He is easily manipulated by females. He lacks ranged weapons in his beast
mode. He cannot fly.
