Explanation of the conversion: Long Haul has extra Strength which only works for carryiung things in vehicle form.
Although this write-up is meant to rerpresent him in his Generation One form, it also works for his Cybertonian and
Generation Two forms.
History (Dreamwave comics): Long Haul was recruited as a Decepticon under the leadership of Megatron in his war against the Autobots on the planet Cybertron.
Long Haul and the Constructions were successful in designing the first combiner, when they designed a united form for
themselves called Devastator.
When Megatron and Autobot leader Optimus Prime disappeared in an accident with a space
bridge, the Autobot and Decepticon forces splintered into smaller factions. Long Haul joined up with the Ultracons under
the leadership of Ratbat.
Long Haul isn't too thrilled with his unglamorous role in the Decepticon cause, but he understands its
importance. Along with his fellow Constructicons, his function is to help build the massive energy-recovery installations
that fuel the Decepticon onslaught, but he'd much prefer the excitement and glory that come with being a full-time
warrior, and he knows better than to tell anyone of his secret desire - Megatron allows no
dissent among the Decepticons' ranks.
Note: In the television series it was revealed that all the Constructicons were once good, but then Megatron
rewrote their personalities with his Robo-Smasher weapon, turning them evil.
Trivia: Long haul was recolored for release in Europe. The Constructicons were reissued as Generation Two Transformers in yellow and orange colors. There have been
other color variants of them made by other companies as well, like green. Longhaul was redone as a Micromaster and
as larger dump truck vehicle for the Transformers: Universe line.
Powers: Longhaul is very strong and tough. In vehicular mode Long Haul can carry up to 90 tons for 1200 miles,
but with a maximus speed of just over 70 mph. He
can also add on a dual heat-seeking missile launcher. In robot mode he can fly and carries a laser pistol. He serves as
the torso module which, when combined with his fellow Constructicons, forms the giant robot known as Devastator.
Weaknesses: Long Haul is slow and not well respected among the Decepticons. Sometimes his unhappiness reduces his
effectiveness. He's sensitive to teasing about the mundane nature of his job and can often be goaded into fights in which
he may be clearly overmatched. Long Haul is slow in any form.
