Explanation of the conversion: To represent his Accidential Change for every hour after turning into J2, Zane must roll 3 dice. If he rolls 8 or less he turns back into Zane, and must stay that way for an hour. The Physical Limitation of Limited Vision is different in his two forms. As Zane he is nearsighted. As J2 he has limited side vision because of his helmet.
History: Zane Yama was a seemingly normal kid with a secret, his father was really the Juggernaut. In the alternate future he lives in the Juggernaut fell in love with a woman, turned himself in, married her secretly and joined the X-Men. Sadly after a few years as an X-Man, the Juggernaut was lost in another dimension during a mission. Zane knew his father as a hero, but didn't expect the biggest shock of his life when he was hiding from a bully after school one day. In a moment of panic he suddenly changed into a naked superhuman form. Frightened out of his wits Zane ran right through a wall, which didn't even slow him down. Eventually he changed back. He learned he could call on the changed at will, but only stay in superhuman form for a few hours at a time. He designed a costume for himself, using some of his father's old clothes and dubbed himself J2 (J2 #1).
After confronting Loki, J2 joined up with several other new heroes in forming a new rouster of the Avengers. These included Stinger V, Mainframe and Thunderstrike II (A Next #1).
Although initially J2 depended solely on his enhanced physical abilities to get through fights, he learned that skill is also important and he started to take hand-to-hand combat lessons from the American Dream.
When Spider-Girl tried out as a member of the Avengers, J2 faced her in combat and was defeated, but Spider-Girl was beaten by Stinger V. Spider-Girl was made a reserve Avenger (Spider-Girl #13).
The Avengers were asked by Tony Stark to capture the hero known as the Buzz, thinking he was a thief and murderer, but he was assisted by Spider-Girl and Raptor who thought he was innocent (Spider-Girl #31).
Powers: Zane can call on a portion of the power once wielded by his father, allowing him to turn into a lesser version of the Juggernaut. In this form he can lift 100 tons and is very resistant to harm. His clothes change to whatever he last wore in each form as well. He wears one of his father's helmets in J2 form, which protects him from mental attacks.
