Explanation of the conversion: I made up a bit of history for Icebird based on the events of the Beast Wars television series. The two sets of Characteristics represent Icebird in owl and bear forms.

Stasis pods History: Icebird was one of the protoforms from the Maximal ship called the Axalon commanded by Optimus Primal, which chased the Predacon criminal Megatron II through transwarp space after the theft of the Golden Disc. The Maximals and Predacons crashed on prehistoric Earth, where high energon levels threatened to destroy the crew unless they adopted organic alternate modes (Beast Wars Part 1).

The Axalon's cargo of Maximal protoforms in stasis pods had been launched into orbit before the crash, but eventually Icebird's pod fell to Earth. Damaged in planetfall, Icebird's pod mixed up the genetic scans of local life forms when formatting him, causing him to emerged in a bizarre hybrid form. Icebird's beast mode was a combination of polar bear and owl.

Megatron II developed an experimental anti-conversion virus with which he planed to win the Beast Wars. This toxin was meant to infect its host and prevents the ability to change into robot mode, eventually causing permanent shutdown, but something went wrong... when unleashed on several Fuzors, it caused a reconfiguration of their conversion abilities, trapping their robot modes inside two different beast modes. Bewildered by new and potent extrasensory powers plus the ability to change into two ferocious animals, these Transformers joined together to form a renegade band of warriors.

After the end of the Beast Wars the mutants were able to return to Cybertron, but Megatron II had conquored it using his perfected virus.

Under the command of Icebird, the Mutants were sent on a mission off planet by the Oracle (Convention Comics 2001).

The mutants found themselves before the Quintessons and were executed (Convention Comics 2002).

Icebird Powers: Icebird is highly energy efficient and strong, smart, brave and highly skilled. He can take the form of either a polar bear of a giant snow owl. He has powerful claws in either mode. In owl form he is a powerful flyer. He has a number of unusual powers. In either form he can communicate telepathically, read minds, shut down technology and even turn invisible. He recovers from damage quickly in either mode and is well protected from high energon levels.

Weaknesses: Icebird has few weaknesses, other than not being able to assume a humanoid robot form. He lacks hands because of his animal nature. He cannot fly in bear form.
