Explanation of the conversion: Even though Eradicator's body is based on that of Superman, it is no where as powerful as the real one. I kept Eradicator to the minimum abilities he has actually displayed in the comics over the years. Since his mind is mostly based on that of Doctor David Connor, I only gave him a familiarity with Kryptonian culture.

History: The Eradicator was a Kryptonian device that included an artificial intelligence that eventually tried to take over Superman's mind so he'd become a true Kryptonian and would take over the Earth, converting it into something like Krypton had been. Jonathan Kent helped Clark shake off the effect, and eventually the Eradicator somehow assumed humanoid form to battle Superman. The Eradicator lost, his energy being dispersed into the structure of Superman's Fortress of Solitude. BR CLEAR="ALL">
Action Comics #687 Much later, when Superman was killed in a battle with Doomsday, the fortress systems and robots brought the energy back together, but he lacked physical form this time, and he was sent to Superman's memorial in Metropolis, where the body was. Eradicator attempted to possess the body to bring it back, but when he touched it he absorbed all of Superman's stored solar energy. The Eradicator then converted some of the mass of the memorial into a flawed duplicate of Superman's body. He then assumed the identity of Superman, believing himself to be Superman returned from the dead and returned the body to the fortress.

Action Comics #690 The Eradicator then flew to Metropolis, where he took Superman's place, and was one of four different heroes who tried to do the same. These included a supposed teenage clone of Superman (later known as Superboy), a cyborg claiming to be Superman (later known as Cyborg II) and a man in steel armor which resembled Superman (later known as Steel).

When the Eradicator was fighting armored villains in Metropolis he saved a woman who ended up being an alien parasite who fed on human spinal fluid. After she attacked the Eradicator he knocked her out, but the new metahuman Loose Cannon came upon them and thought the Eradicator was attacking the woman. They fought until the woman and her alien allies attacked the pair of them. While fighting the aliens Loose Cannon and the Eradicator teamed up and settled their differences (Action Comics Annual #5).

Action Comics #691 As Superman the Eradicator fought a cyborg Superman doppelganger along side Superboy, Supergirl, Steel, and the real Superman, who had come back to life but lost his powers. When the cyborg attempted to kill Superman with an energy blast the Eradicator was able to channel that energy into Superman's body, restoring his powers, but it nearly killed the Eradicator.

Action Comics #693 Though seemingly destroyed during the Reign of the Supermen, a lab accident merged the Eradicator's body with the mind of David Connor, a cancer-stricken xenobiologist examining the life form. This new Eradicator's only goal: to dispense swift, deadly justice!

Outsiders #13 Action Comics #704 The Eradicator joined up with the Outsiders for some time. Superman attacked the Eradicator while being tricked by Brainiac into thinking he might not be the real Superman. Eradicator convinced Superman that he wasn't responsible for the trickery (Action Comics #704 & Outsiders #13).

Steel #22 The Eradicator joined up with Alpha Centurion, Superboy, Supergirl and Steel to free Superman when he was captured by the Tribunal. It was about that time he started to get flashes of his Kryptonian memories (Steel #22).

After becoming confused over his identity, he left Earth alone (Eradicator #1-3).

Powers: The Eradicator has several powers similar to Superman because his body a failed attempt to duplicate Superman's body. He is highly resistant to damage and can fly. He lacks Superman's vision powers and super hearing, but can generate tremendous energy blasts from his hands. The Eradicator can survive unprotected in the vacuum of space.

Eradicator is vulnerable to the strange space substance called Kryptonite. Due to a flaw in his creation, the Eradicator;s eyes are vulnerable to bright lights. They cause him great pain and he has to wear sun glasses to operate normally.
