"Complete data analysis is essential for the synthesis of successful strategy." - Computron
Real name: Computron Other known aliases: Computicon (name of release in Japan). Occupation: Super Warrior Current group affiliation: Autobots/Technobots Rank: 8 Past group affiliations: None Major enemies: Decepticons, particularly the Terrorcons. First appearance: Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye #7 (Dreamwave comics), Transformers: Headmasters #3 (Marvel comics), Grimlock's New Brain (television series). Origin: Grimlock's New Brain (television series). Description: Computron is a nearly 60 foot tall red, orange, brown and white robot who turns into five smaller robots.
Explanation of the conversion: Computron is formed of five other robots, so I used a Linked Multiform to allow him
to become all five at once. I decided to give him the combined weapons and skills of all the other Technobots.
History (Marvel comics): Although much admired for his dedication, bravery, skill and intelligence, Computron is an unfortunate example of being too technologically advanced for his own good. Centuries ago on Cybertron the five Autobots who comprise Computron - Afterburner, Nosecone, Strafe, Lightspeed and Scattershot - agreed to apply the new engineering science of mechanical combinatics to themselves so that they could unite to form a super-Autobot to more effectively combat the Decepticons. Scattershot, however, insisted that their combination be better than anyone else's, that the contribution of each of the five component Autobots to the whole be maximized in every way. The result was not what anyone expected: Computron was created, but as he was programmed to thoroughly and exhaustively analyze the input of each of the five who comprise him, he takes several minutes
to form a consensus opinion and make a decision. Any decision. Of course, without exception, the decision he makes is the right one, but very often
it comes too late to make a difference. He genuinely regrets when this happens, and feels even worse that he's unable to do anything to change it. Nevertheless, he is well known for his sharp mind, and respected for it. He chooses every word with great care and precision and takes great pride in knowing that when Computron talks, everybody listens.
The Technobots were among the Autobots who joined Fortress Maximus in leaving Cybertron for the planet Nebulos (Transformers: Headmasters #1).
Followed to Nebulos by the Decepticons under Scorponok, Fortress Maximus' band left Nebulos for the planet Earth (Transformers: Headmasters #4).
The Technobots were present when Grimlock fought Blaster for leadership of the Autobots on Earth's moon. The Autobots were then attacked by the Decepticons lead by Ratbat (Transformers #41).
The Technobots were severely damaged by Starscream when he gained cosmic powers from the Underbase (Transformers #50).
Trivia: On the Transformers television series the Technobots were created by the Dinobot Grimlock to fight the Terrorcons when Grimlock temporarily gained super-intelligence.
Powers: Computron is probably the most advanced of all gestalt special teams, truly combining the abilities of all
his component members into a single being. Computron possesses awesome strength. He can lift up to 240 tons. He is very
tough, although he is not as durable as some other gestalt special teams. He can fly. He has
excellent radar and communications capabilities. He possesses extensive data storage and data processing capacities and
can fly. He is armed with Scattershot's automatic acid-pellet gun, which shoots capsules containing a highly corrosive
liquid that explodes on impact. Computron also has access to an amazing amount of secondary weaponry, provided by his
component robots. These include Scattershot's megavolt pulse cannon, sonics, flame projector and missiles, Afterburner's sonic blaster, missile
launcher, and plasma pulse cannon, Lightspeed's proton rifle and plasma blasters, Nosecone's x-ray laser, drill and
missiles, and Strafe's heat ray and light pulse blasters.
Weaknesses: Slow decision-making is Computron's most glaring liability. He sometimes overheats and breaks down when
he attempts to process more data than he can handle.
