Explanation of the conversion:

History (Dreamwave comics): When civil war broke out on the planet Cybertron between the Autobots and Decepticons, Bumper joined the Autobot cause.

Bumblebee was placed in command of the Autobot supply shuttle Orion, with Powerglide, Warpath, Seaspray, Cosmos, Cliffjumper, Bumper and the Powerdashers assigned to him. Their mission was to aid the Autobots on Earth. Upon arriving in the Earth system from transwarp space, they witnessed the arrival of Sunstorm and helped defeat Bruticus (Transformers: Generation One III #1).

The crew of the Orion.

Bumper and Warpath were sent to recover the Autobots who had been injured fighting Bruticus and hidden by Starscream, but they were all captured by the Earth Defense Command.

Jazz commanded Sunstreaker, Sideswipe and Bumper in investigating the Insecticons for the Earth Defense Command.

Jazz, Warpath, Bumper, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker rejoined the Windcharger and Wheeljack, who were repaired by the Earth Defense Command. They all rejoined Ratchet on board the Orion (Transformers: Generation One III #9).

Landing in Alaska, Bumper and the other Autobots met Prowl's team back from Cybertron. They were shown the site of construction for the new Autobot City (Transformers: Generation One III #10).

Bumper is consumate at his speciality, startegic mission planning for the Autobots. High capability for analysis and extremely developed logic centers. allowing him to quickly apprise battlefield conditions and devise devastating countermeasures. Cold blooded and calculating. He acts as a reliable field aid to Prowl.

Trivia: The toy of Bumper was never officially released in the USA, only to be found mispackaged as Bumblebee or Cliffjumper. He was released as Sedan in foreign markets, where he was blue, white or green in color. The name of Bumper was made up by fans, being a combination of BUMblebee and CliffjumPER. Bumper shouldn't be confused with Bumper II, the Japanese name of the Mini-Con Reverb.

Bumper Powers: Bumber is smart and highly skilled. He is equipped with a defensive force field that can be used to repel material objects. He can turn into a small sports car capable of speeds of over 100 mph. He wields a small laser pistol which he can use in either form.

In robot form Bumper sometimes utilizes a standard Autobot jet pack.

Weaknesses: Bumper is not very strong or fast, and has minimal firepower.
