Explanation of the conversion: Brawn can only fly in robot mode, whereas his wheels, Tunneling and hydrofoils only work in vehicle mode. I gave Brawn a special Strength Power to reflect that his Tech Specs indicate he is nearly as strong as Optimus Prime. It allows him to lift four times as much weight as his size and Specs would indicate.

History (Dreamwave comics): When civil war broke out on the planet Cybertron between the Autobots and Decepticon factions, Brawn joined the Autobot cause.

When Autobot leader Sentinel Prime was killed by Decepticon leader Megatron, a new Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, was chosen. Optimus ordered the evacuation of Cybertron by the Autobots, and Brawn was among those who reluctantly prepared for the evacuation (Transformers: War Within #2).

When Megatron and Optimus Prime disappeared in an accident with a space bridge, the Autobot and Decepticon forces splintered into smaller factions. Brawn stayed with the Autobots under the leadership of Prowl.

Learning that the Decepticons were testing a new mobile command base at the Praetorus Wharf, Prowl lead Cliffjumper, Brawn, Jazz, Skids and Sideswipe to investigate. What they discovered was Trypticon (Transformers: The War Within - The Dark Ages #3).

Six million years ago, Ultra Magnus united the Autobot factions and lead them to victory over Decepticons and Ultracons. Megatron returned to Cybertron in command of the clone forces of the Aerospace Extermination Squadron and took over Cybertron. Brawn was among the Autobots enslaved and forced to labor tunneling into Cybertron's core (Transformers: War Within - The Age of Wrath #2).

Brawn was among the Autobots who followed Optimus Prime on his mission on board the Ark and crash landed on Earth.

In 1984, when the Ark's computer re-activated, it reformatted Brawn as in the form of an Earth truck.

Brawn faces Rumble and Frenzy.

Brawn Brawn Eventually the combined forces of the Autobots on Earth, and their human allies were able to capture the Decepticons. A ship called the Ark II was built to take the Cybertonians back to Cybertron, along with some human companions, but the ship exploded shortly after takeoff. The human allies were killed, but the Cybertonians were lost in the ocean, again in statis lock.

Brawn, Grapple, Hoist, Jazz, Omega Supreme, Prowl, Red Alert, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were among the Autobots who continued work on Autobot City (Transformers: Generation One III #13).

After the defeat of Megatron II the planet Cybertron was left reformatted into a techno-organic world.

On the reformatted techno-organic Cybertron Cheetor, Rattrap, Silverbolt III and Blackarachnia were interviewed by the Autobot reporter Rook. They then welcomed the Autobots Roulette, Shadowstriker, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker back to Cybertron. Buzzsaw III, Quickstrike II and Rockbuster were also present. The returning Autobots along with Blackarachnia and Silverbolt III were then abducted via teleportation beams and taken to Unicron. Tap-Out, Megatron IV, Brawn, Grimlock and Snarl III were also abducted from various timelines. Silverbolt III, Blackarachnia, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were forcibly reformatted by Unicron. Taken captive by Razorclaw IV, Reptilion, Obsidian III, Tankor II and Striker, the Autobots were forced to fight one another. They witnessed Smokescreen III kill Smokescreen, whose spark was absorbed by Unicron. Sensing the need for a champion Primus and Alpha Trion brought Optimus Primal back to life (Transformers: Universe #1).

Brawn was among the Cybertonians kidnapped by Unicron. He escaped with a large number of his fellow prisoners thanks to Optimus Primal and returned to Cybertron (Transformers: Universe #2).

History (Marvel comics): Brawn was a member of the Autobot team lead by Hot Spot which confronted Megatron in Millville, and was killed by Megatron (G.I. Joe #142).

Brawn Brawn Brawn looks on Earth as essentially a hostile environment-and he loves it. He is the most macho of the Autobots. He delights in challenges and when he faces one he becomes fully alive. He is strong, rugged and very agile-which is why he is frequently teamed with Bumblebee when the Autobots are in a mountainous environment- but it is his enjoyment of the challenge that makes him valuable to his leader, Optimus Prime. He won't be discouraged and that helps the morale of the rest. He is hardy and enjoys a good joke, if it is not too subtle. His main fault is that he tends to be contemptuous of those not as tough as he.

Trivia: On the Transformers television show, the voice of Brawn is played by actor Corey Burton. The toy of Brawn is very similar to that of Outback. The toy of Brawn was also released as a keychain in the U.S. He was released in a commerative black keychain in Japan.

Brawn Powers: Brawn has tremendous strength and endurance and is pratically without fear. He was the second strongest Autobot among those who crashed on Earth in the Ark after Optimus Prime. Brawn carries a small laser pistol, which he can operate in either form. He can turn his right hand into a high temperature welding tool. Brawn can convert into a truck with exceptional off road capability. It also has tunneling capabilities and an extending arm under the chassie, allowing him to manipilate objects in vehicle mode.

Brawn Brawn Brawn sometimes utilizes a standard Autobot jet pack. He was outfitted with a special set of hydrofoils by Wheeljack for travel on water.

Weaknesses: Brawn isn't very fast, has slightly lower than average intelligence and only has minimal firepower. As the Autobot with perhaps the least sophisticated circuitry-most of his components focus on his strength-Brawn is very vulnerable to attack by electromagnetic and other types of waves. His eagerness to show off his strength often results in his using it improperly and without thinking. He's been known to destroy an entire building before realizing it's the wrong one.
